MEDIANERAS

Went and watched 'Medianeras' today. Got pretty good seats (much better than when I watched 'The Tree of Life').

It's been a while since I've watched a movie that was not in English or Korean. So it was interesting and refreshing to listen to Spanish dialogue. But it was sort of uncomfortable because I kept having to read what they were saying, and this meant that I couldn't focus on the visual aspects as much. And especially for this film, each frame captures something beautiful or foreign (filmed in Argentina) so I didn't really want to miss out on anything. Yeah, so I tried to read as fast as possible then zoomed my eyes out quickly to observe the screen as a whole.

Overall I really enjoyed it. I should make the most of foreign films during the NZ Film Festival.
