ALBERT PARK

Today was a nice day to just sit and chill in Albert Park.
I didn't get visits from any birds though.

It didn't help that there was a man who just continuously gave away his bread to the birds.
All the birds went to him and stayed with him.

Gosh, if I had food on me I would have battled him out and I'm sure I would have won all the birds' attention.

Candid/close up shot of the man with lots of bread and many bird-friends.

HOW TO DESCRIBE SUNRISE

Sunrise is like sunset

TEA PARTY IN A TREE

Ginormous tree.

There is a park I often walk through. This tree stands in that park.
It's ginormous (gigantic + enormous).

Today, I had a closer look and had a proper inspection of the tree.
I think this tree would be the perfect place to host a tea party.
I can just imagine it. It would be such an impressive tea party.
But I would only be able to invite one person. Possibly two people. But definitely no more than that.

OH GOOD MORNING FEIJOAS

How to make a basket really quickly in cases of emergency or when you need to carry feijoas (and other little things) for short distances.

Went for a short stroll this morning. I came across a feijoa tree with heaps of feijoas on the ground. So I casually picked them up and put them in my makeshift basket (made by stretching my sweater). It's not stealing if it's on the footpath, right? They would have been trampled on or squashed by less observant walkers if I hadn't picked them up. Anyway, I ran home and ate them. They're gone now.

MORNING STROLL

Ahh Autumn chill, you! Making me feel all fuzzy and sentimental.
Went for a stroll around the neighbourhood this morning. Realised I could take photos during my little walks now that I have a smartphone!

Hi cat!
A floating shelf that I built and installed all on my own. Featuring Mr. Black Elephant (also made by me!)
My favourite corner in my room.
Wonderfully beautifully old picture book I found at a secondhand bookstore recently

MAIRANGI BAY

Mairangi Bay is a nice little beachy suburb in Auckland. It has a nice little old-town feeling to it. Maybe because of all the old people. Or maybe because of the old buildings. Or both.

Anyway, I walked a bit around Mairangi Bay beach today, then went over to the Mairangi Bay town centre and had coffee at Mangiamo Cafe. The Pukeko Food Store was right next doors but I didn't see it until afterwards! I also missed the Mairangi Bay Saturday Market by around 2 hours. I will have to come visit Mairangi Bay again.

AN AFTERNOON IN BOLOGNA

Such a beautiful walkway
Wall mural!
Cute orange scooter

Little dogs taking a walk

I think this is a residential apartment building

Aperitivo at Zanarini. Apparently the cool place to be seen in Bologna.

Mr Pigeon on the table next to ours. What a hipster-pigeon, eating at Zanarini.

Mr Flatgreenbug. Also such a hipster-bug, hanging out at Zanarini.
