This was for the finalist round in the Westpac App Challenge. It was nerve-racking and exhilarating at the same time. Our team worked so so hard on this and put in so many hours. It was an amazing feeling to present our work and have it acknowledged. This article on NZ Herald sums it up. I knew that there were 7 teams in the finalist round, but I didn't know that there were 120 entries. Also, 5 of the finalist teams were business people/app companies, not students like us.
Anyway. I reckon we pulled off a pretty good presentation today. One of the judges even commented on our level of professionalism and how impressive our presentation was – that it was beyond the quality of some of Westpac's own presentations.
Before and after the presentation, we were filmed and interviewed. They used those big microphones on sticks (the one they use when filming movies). There was even a professional photographer who took photos of us, who told us to "stand there" "do this" "look here" "do that" and made us smile.
