I don't know why, but I have been eating like a mad person for the last couple of weeks. It's almost like I'm preparing for some apocalyptic food shortage. I've been having food comas almost every other night.
Maybe I have subconsciously detected that there is a food shortage coming my way.
Maybe it's because I'll be graduating soon.
And I'll need to get a job.
And if I don't get a job, I will have no monies.
No monies means no food.
Makes sense to stock up on food and fat now.
Two months from now, I will be glad I have reserved fat around my chin and thighs. I will use up my fat storage for energy as get through the week on a bag of carrots.
Anyway here are two foods that have recently entered my life:
|
Fluro, party coloured popcorn. Mmm colour tastes nice. |

"Wonder Chocolate" from "Big Tree Farms, Indonesia". I bought it because I liked the name. I'm glad I did. It's so yum. It tastes really pure – the only ingredients are: cold-processed cacao beans, coconut palm nectar, cold-processed cacao butter, sea salt. I have no idea what cold-processed cacao beans are and I don't know if coconut palm nectar is a healthy thing, but it sounds more special than plain old cacao beans and sugar. The best thing is that it comes in a sensible size (30g), so you can't really overdo yourself (unless you buy more than one block, like I did). They are sold at Wise Cicada in Newmarket, so it must be healthy, right? It's where all the gluten-free, grain-free, organic, vegan, eco-friendly shoppers do their shopping. |
