I don't like the feeling of cracking an egg. It just feels wrong. It feels yuck to touch eggs too. And eating eggs just on their own is a bit weird – especially if it's all runny and undercooked, or if they've been boiled and retains its shape when you crack the shell.
I know that the eggs in supermarkets are unfertilized eggs – but still – it feels really really wrong for some reason. They've been produced/laid by hens – not free happy hens – but battery caged hens that have been raised just for the purpose of laying eggs. And even with free range eggs, I don't want to risk the chance of frying up a fertilized egg.
I just don't like the concept of cooking eggs.
I don't mind it in food form when it's not possible to know if an egg is present or not. But when I am cooking myself something to eat, I am going to exclude eggs from recipes and dishes.
*All of this might have to do with the fact that I suck at cracking eggs. I'm not sure. Anyway I will not be cracking anymore eggs from now on so that's not a problem.
